Senior Management

Amitabh Kumar heads Technology at ZEE and is responsible for broadcasting operations of the Company. With over 30 years of experience in Media and Telecom industry, Mr. Kumar has worked with Tata Communications Limited (formerly known as Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited) from 1990 to 2001 (including as acting Chairman & Managing Director), Zee Telefilms from 2001 to Dec 2003 and New Era as Director-Corporate from January 2004 to January 2007, prior to joining ZEE. Mr.  Kumar has been on the Board of Governors of Intelsat the apex International Satellite Organization, as well as a council member of the Commonwealth Telecom Organisation, London. Mr. Kumar holds a professional certificate in electronic data interchange from All India Management Association and Deakin University, Australia and a bachelor degree in electronics and telecom from Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani.
