Most people simply drift through life, never taking control or even knowing or believing that they can take control of their life. They simply let life push them and pull them on through, until one day they wake up, knowing they have 24 hours to live. It is at that point they decide that they should have accomplished more.
But, what would you do if you had just 24 hours to live?
Dr. Subhash Chandra, Chairman of Essel Group and ZEE, addressed a group of students and professors of a renowned institute and discussed about living one's life to the fullest and giving your best every day, in an episode of the Dr. Subhash Chandra Show.
Dr. Chandra started the discussion by asking the students about what would they do if they knew that they had only 24 hours to live. This question prompted many interesting answers from the students. Some responded that they will grieve; some said that they will look at those 24 hours with positivity and try to make amends with whatever they have done wrong.
After considering the answers of the students, Dr. Chandra advised, "One should give a 100% every day and live life to the fullest, that way one will never be left with any regrets and worries during their last few hours." And to give a 100%, one is required to push out from one's comfort zone. Procrastination and laziness prevent us from pushing our limits and giving our best. If one has a burning desire to do something or have something to make life more meaningful, then they need to draw up a plan, and work their way backwards on how to accomplish that dream.
Dr. Subhash Chandra continued the engaging discussion on what one could do in the final 24 hours of one's life, and said, "Don't wait for the final 24 hours of your life. Prepare your bucket list today and start working on it. I urge you to accept the realities of your life and not run away from your fears. The moment you do that, you'll be successful and happy. Living life is an art and the technique comes to us naturally and gradually."
As he concluded the discussion, Dr. Chandra quoted Mahatma Gandhi- 'Live as if you were to die tomorrow, learn as if you were to live forever'- and advised everyone to live life by seizing each day, giving each day their best and without any regrets.
The Dr Subhash Chandra Show airs on Saturday at 10 pm on Zee News and 7 pm on Zee Business and with a repeat telecast on Sundays at 11 am on both Zee News and Zee Business.
