How are relationships formed? How powerful are relationships? Can conflicts be good for relationships?
In one of the episodes of 'The Dr. Subhash Chandra Show', Chairman of ZEE & Essel Group, Dr. Subhash Chandra spoke to the students of a premiere institute on the power of relationships and the role they play in every person's life.
"Relationships can form over a period of time or in a few hours," Dr. Chandra said. Moreover, he stressed that the relationships should not be gauged from the view of whether they are advantageous or not.
Dr. Chandra also talked about the need to give people space in each relationship such that it does not suffocate those involved. He compared relationships akin to holding a bird, "If you hold it too tight it can die. But if you hold it lightly, it can fly. And if you hold it with care, it will last."
Mr. DS Kulkarni, Founder, Chairman & Managing Director of DSKDL, was invited by Dr. Chandra to narrate the story on how he created a business worth Rs. 6000 crore from Rs. 30 and the role relationships played in his journey. Mr. Kulkarni remarked on how some relationships can last and if preserved correctly, they can be cherished for a lifetime.
How does one define a good relationship?

He also went on to say that, the conflict arising in any relationship must be amicably resolved, by giving and taking due commitments for the future, thereby nourishing the bond of relation.
"Choose your conflict. Is it worth taking the fight? Do acknowledge the conflict. And don’t shove it under the carpet." Dr. Chandra advised this, when he spoke about conflicts in professional situations and business practices. Also, he said that in personal relationships, one tends to be more emotionally involved.
